Growing Brighter Futures at Grown At Eden

Empowering Early Childhood Education Through Sustainability
At Grown At Eden, the mission goes beyond daycare. It’s about cultivating young minds in an environment that reflects care, intention, and sustainability. Nestled in the heart of a rural community, this nature-inspired early learning center believes that every child deserves a nurturing start and that the environment they grow up in matters deeply.
In 2024, Grown At Eden took a bold step forward by securing a Rural Energy for America Program (REAP) Grant a transformative milestone that aligned with their commitment to sustainability and responsible stewardship.
Why the REAP Grant?
For Grown At Eden, the grant provided funding to install a 41.58 kW DC roof mounted solar array at their facility in Parsons Kansas.
These changes helped reduce their utility costs significantly, allowing more of their budget to be reinvested in educational tools, outdoor classroom development, and nutritious meals for the children.
Community Impact
As a small business in a rural area, Grown At Eden’s success has inspired other local centers and businesses to explore energy efficiency programs. Their leadership shows that early education and environmental responsibility can go hand in hand, even in smaller communities.
Looking Ahead
With energy savings projected to grow year over year, Grown At Eden’s REAP Grant journey is a powerful example of how even the smallest centers can make a big difference. By aligning their operational goals with environmental values, they are growing more than a business, they’re growing a movement.
